Job description: Front Desk Guest Services – Part-time

Job Summary
This position is responsible for guest services at the front desk, in a condo hospitality location with year-round guests located in the beautiful mountain area of Eden, Utah. You will serve owners and guests in accordance with Company standards for guest satisfaction, quality, teamwork, records, cash management, cleanliness, safety and security.

This is a part time position working 18-24 hours per week. Weekends and holidays are required. Shift averages 6-8 hours in length and starting pay is $18.00 an hour. Reports to Front Desk Supervisor and General Manager.

General Requirements

  • Must display very good organization and time management skills. Computer recordkeeping and reporting experience a plus.
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with many types of personalities.
  • Must have sound judgment and discretion skills and work with little or no supervision.
  • Must be able to consistently work under pressure and simultaneously prioritize multiple projects.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
  • Must have reliable transportation.

Work Objectives

  • Works weekends, evenings and holidays, or whenever assigned by Supervisor, according to the Front Desk Schedule.
  • Report to work according to approved schedule and be ready to work. Must be properly dressed and conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times.
  • Perform duties listed on front desk checklist for each shift, including shift opening and night audit / shift closing requirements.
  • Work in the community center store, including helping with inventory and cash register management.
  • Coordinate guest requests with housekeeping, maintenance and members of management.
  • Protect Company assets by properly securing inventory, equipment, and supplies.
  • Participate in all required health and safety meetings/classes.
  • Follow all rules and regulations set forth in company policies, as requested by the General Manager or Front Desk Supervisor.
  • Perform cleaning and upkeep of community center and front desk area. Occasional back-up to housekeeping staff with room prepping and cleaning.
  • Perform any other various duties that may be assigned by the Front Desk Supervisor and General Manager.

Guest Satisfaction

  • Perform creation of reservations, bonus time and deposit payments from owners and guests.
  • Prepare for and complete guest check-ins and check-outs.
  • Assist guests with reserving facility amenities, games, equipment, pool and recreation center logs, movie rentals, etc.
  • Assist guests with purchases from the community store.
  • Perform cash and credit card purchase transactions for guests.
  • Announce presence and enter guest rooms in accordance with Company standards and procedures.
  • Smile, acknowledge, and greet guests while in community center, guest rooms or any other area of the Resort.
  • Respond to guest’s requests, follow-up with other departments, and communicate results with guests.

Teamwork

  • Be available to work a flexible schedule, including some weekends and holidays.
  • Assist other employees in various assignments, such as collecting/delivering guest requests, missing housekeeping items, pool area needs, etc.
  • Make recommendations for improvements to Front Desk Supervisor, General Manager and Assistant General Manager, as appropriate.

Safety and Security

  • Report and store lost-and-found items in accordance with Resort procedures.
  • Participate in health and safety trainings and team meetings when requested.
