Housekeeping

Job Description - Non-Exempt

Position Title: Housekeeping/Laundry Attendant

Reports To: Department Management/Resort Management

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Purpose

The Room Attendant promotes a positive image of the resort to our guests and Owners by providing a high level of cleanliness and customer service.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform all housekeeping duties from cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, linen replacement to laundry and inventory management of housewares

  • Loading and unloading washers and dryers

  • Sorting linens that are heavily soiled and unusable for use as shop/cleaning rags

  • Folding and storing all linens and towels neatly

  • Cooperate with housekeeping staff to provide quality service to all owners and guests

  • Perform minor maintenance duties such as changing of light bulbs, painting and other duties as needed

  • Report any washer or dryer malfunctions to the supervisor

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage area

  • Record monthly linen inventory, advising supervisor of any shortages or items that need purchasing

  • Respond quickly to requests from guests and other departments

  • Inspecting units on a daily basis

  • Follow all company policies and procedures

  • Practice safe working conditions under the OSHA guidelines, including Blood borne Pathogens

  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships within the team

  • All other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Education, Essential Training / Certifications, and Experience:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Previous hotel-related experience desired

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy
  • Maintains a desire to improve the quality of work

  • Flexible schedule, ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays

Shift: Additional hours may be necessary to accommodate the number of guest check-ins/outs
