Position: Housekeeper

Location: Topsider Resort, Islamorada, Florida

Reports To: General Manager

Employment Type: Full Time

Responsible for sorting, cleaning, and distributing linen and supplies to all units. Responsible for performing quality checks on all units and common areas. Responsible for maintaining all units and common areas to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Strips all dirty linen from the units.
• Replenishes supplies such as paper goods and guest supplies.
• Collects soiled linen and restocks clean linen.
• Sorts dirty laundry and checks for stains and treats stains.
• Separates and folds clean laundry and puts clean laundry away.
• Cleans and organizes laundry room, and closets.
• Cleans units and common areas.
• Performs quality checks on units and common areas.
• Ensures units are ready for guest arrivals.
• Maintains a safe working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Always conducts themselves in a professional manner.
• Develops and maintains excellent inter-departmental communications concerning unit quality, including housekeeping and maintenance.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Previous hotel-related experience desired
• Must have a passion for cleanliness
• Attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to work in an environment with accuracy
• Maintains a desire to improve the quality of work
• Ability to maintain professional conduct at all times
• Flexible schedule, ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
