Hospitality Specialist - Front Office   Myrtle Beach, SC

What You'll Do

The purpose of this position is to interact with our guests and ensure they have a great experience when they stay at the resort. This person is also responsible for responding to guest calls or inquires about room reservations and to provide information to guests coming to the resort. The staff will continue the arrival experience by ensuring clear communication with guests, obtaining all necessary information and providing the guest with a room that meets their expectations.

  • Greet guests warmly and perform registration procedures.
  • Explain resort products, services and other information about the resort as requested.
  • Maintain knowledge of current resort events, activities and hours of operation as well as dining options currently available
  • Provide guests with appropriate room assignments, room keys, directions to the their rooms.
  • Maintain room availability
  • Collect and distribute messages for guest.
  • Verify payment for stay including incidental costs by obtaining credit information
  • Assist guests with issues and complaints, with empathy and a focus on guest satisfaction. Using supervisor support when needed
  • Post charges to guest accounts as designated
  • Secure patrons valuables in safe.
  • Provide suggestions of places to visit, eat, and shop.  
  • Maintain records
  • Facilitate guest departures providing accurate statements and ensuring guest satisfaction and collection of all payments due
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities are acquired
  • Basic computer skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Excellent Customer Service skills with the ability to work under pressure
  • Bilingual is a plus
  • Active listener with the ability to solve problems
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexible schedule – Ability to work evenings, holidays and weekends are a must
